Hi guys, I am a GV subscriber (with a GV number) and use a DROID on VZW. I set out to install the app last week, thinking about going all in with Google, partly to save money on my TXT plan. However, I could NOT for the life of me get the GV Voicemail configured correctly, it always hung on the 'configuring' screen. I even tried the VZW forums and VZW tech support and no one knew -anything- about Google Voice or even how to configure the voice mail.

They had to go into my account settings and nuke my call forwarding settings so people could actually calla me instead of going to a straight busy signal, which was a result of the borked GV Voice mail install.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Don't know if this will work, but there's a non automated way to setup voicemail through the Google voice website. It'll give you a long sequence of numbers for you to enter on the phone dialer.

I've also heard that nexus one users are having problems setting up gv if they have wifi on while configuring it, which may affect the Droid also.
