I have my phone set up for POP3. I have the frequency setting to 1 hour and the download options to 3 days. Some e-mails are coming though to the phone but others are not. Any ideas why?

PS What exactly does download to 3 days do? (it's the default setting)

Have you checked the mail size menu, I think the default is set to low. So this would restrict some larger emails coming to the phone.

Menu is: Mail>settings>send &receive>Mail size limit

Hope this helps:)

Thanks for your reply. I thought that was it at first so I incresed the size to 25kb. Still small I know (but I don't actually want large mails coming though to my phone). However, one of the mails that didn't come through to my phone was only 18kb. So I'm guessing that isn't the problem. Does it work ok for you?

3 days refers the how far back it will go back to get mail. If you are away from a data connection or your phone is off for say 6 days, when you pop your mail it will only retrieve the mail from the past 3 days instead of going back to when it lost its data connection. Had this problem with Windows Mobile.

Thanks for your replies.

I found what the probelm was. On my machine, my downlaod frequency was set to 15 mins and the mails were being deleted from the server immediately after a send/receive. Therefore, my laptop was synching every 15 mins so the phone was only getting mails on the hour synch.

To resolve this, I needed to change the settings on my laptop client (in my case Outlook) not to delete the mails on the server immdeiately. I just set it to 1 day here. This option is available in the Account Settings. So the mails are then 'available' to the phone. Now it works fine!
