Anyone else using this app, either free or paid versions.

I like it, using the free version. Don't like the lack of Facebook support, but it's coming they say, and after it gets updated with it I may upgrade if I still like it.

I installed it this morning and by lunch (after 4 hours of usage) my battery was in the yellow. Don't know if this is because of all the changes I made or if this is just a data heavy app in comparison to what I used to run. I did uninstall my old Seesmic Twitter app and Weather Channel app as 2 redundant apps using data was unnecessary. Am going to reboot it before bed and see how a full charge lasts tomorrow. Normally I can keep 50% through an 8 hour work day.

I did notice that when you long press the SMS icon to start a new message that it pauses and then gives an error message and the Force Close button. Then the standard Message app comes up in compose form. May try it out with Handcent tonight to see if it fixes it.

I uninstalled it after lunch to try and preserve my battery some and when you do and hit the "home" key it gives the option to set a default home page again. You can choose the default Android Home Screen or the Sense UI screen. I chose the default Android to try it out, though without running the Sense UI you lose access to all the HTC Widgets. I reinstalled it to get back my Sense UI but am giving SlideScreen another chance. I do like it, but like coming from something else, it's different.

Honestly I wasn't to impressed by it, wasn't when they first demo'd it oh so long ago. It has some nice features, but for an app centric user like myself it makes getting in and out of things a little annoying. I like widgets and home screens. I still prefer GDE over anything out there.
