Using VMWare Fusion on the mac version 2.0.1. First it made me convert the image due to it being made on an older version and now it says "Cannot open the disk '/Applications/chrome-os-0.4.22.8-gdgt.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on." Even when I don't convert it, I get this message and it doesn't boot.

OK, I solved the login step.
Have to log using the account name “chronos” with no password. Then it works and you can log with your account.

It is continuously saying "Network not connected and offline login failed".
I checked both Bridged & NAT but none make it connect.
I'm using Windows XP SP3 and VMware Player 3

i have crome os blue screen and can enter username and password, but it won't accept them
i am running debian lenny kernel 2.6.32.1 and vmplayer 3
i have used my gmail username and password
what am i doing wrong?

nothing... I got the same issue... read these posts, just about every other person has serious issues or fails to install it at all....

Nice product... I'll stick with the established operating systems till google gets its act together.

To release a piece of s- like this is a travesty!

i had network not connected error. fixed by selecting "Host-only Adapter" (VirtualBox) instead of NAT or Bridged...

Hello！
I have succeeded the installation of Chromium OS
in my PC.
I used Virtual PC on Ubuntu 9.10.
Keyboard layout is different from those in the US, but I tried using 106 keybord.
Japanese screen appeared by selecting the language menu.

Can a bootable iso be produced from the source? I don't like VMWare or Virtual Box and use MVPC instead. And my crappy machine can't compile the whole source (gasp!)

I am running VMplayer, and it does not recognize the *.vmdk file. It does not give me the choice of using an existing virtual disk. It will load a .iso file. How do i get Chrome on my VMplayer?

create a new virtual machine as normal and after it finish, add another virtual hard disk and point to that one of google os.

y use wmware 7 workstation on windows xp y have selectioned bridged connection, it run and y m signing but it has just opened the home page of gmail windows says that are a conflict of ip of google chrome os on wmware and windows and it doen not open other pages of google or other sites

it dosnt work with vmware >vmware gave me message: ('chrome-os-0.4.22.8-gdgt.vmdk' cannot be opened directly. Open the virtual machine configuration file (vmx) instead.)so what i have to do to make it work?? and this message from vm player(Error while opening the virtual machine: File "D:\chrome-os-0.4.22.8-gdgt.vmdk" line 1: Syntax error.)???????????????
