Thing is my image booted up very well in vmware. However I can't login , say that I am not connected to network.
I can't even check the ip configuration. This idea of using the gmail account to login isn't so well.

You can use virtualbox to mount the disk which works better than using VMWare. Honestly though, you guys are not missing out on much. It's more or less Linux running in Kiosk mode with a browser.

can someone show me how to do it with VMWare player cuz ijust cant figure it out...... please help..

I tried to download this zip file and when i tried to open it it came up as corrupted. Attempting download again, but not hopeful....

Login using gdgt account password and username fails.
Login using email account password and username fails.

In both cases Chrome automatically adds @Gmail.com to username.

Any ideas ?

chrome-os-0.4.22.8-gdgt.vmdk,
bridged network, and 512MB memory, Linux 2.6x.

@mimazda: It seems to me that your VM does not try to boot off the Chrome-OS .vmdk virtual disk.
Check your VM settinsg regarding HDDs (virtual HDDs) and also how it is supposed to boot (enter the VM BIOS and check boot settings as well as HDD settings)

Who doesn't put a shutdown button in their OS. Isn't that one of the primary jobs of a computer --controlling the power state of the system.

Just download VMware it is easyer to get a virtual machine

Downloaded Chrome OS VM disk and had it installed with VMWare Fusion 3 in less than 5 minutes. However,

1. I got no sound yet.
2. When I logged in, The home page shows a red warning page:
"The Server's Security Certificate is revoked!"

I can still go to main page and explore other Google App like facebook, Pandora (no sound), Calendar and google reader.

3. The video is not optimum when I try to view it in full screen mode. I guessed Mac OS drivers are not yet working fully with Chrome OS through VMWare Fusion yet.

It is pretty boring on what I can do with Chrome OS VM here? I understand that it is still in Beta and it is running on hardware that is not certified by google yet.

So how can I fix the Server's Security problem here?
