Discuss: So, here we are

It's taken a little while for us to get here, but we're very happy to be finally unveiling gdgt to the world. So what is it? Well, for starters it's the gadget site we've always wanted. We both love devices and spend an insane amount of time playing with them, writing about them, talking about them, and thinking about them. We've waited for years for somebody to make a gadget site we could go hang out at all day -- when no one did it, we just decided to do it...

I think it would really be great to have a website where we can find user reviews and editorial reviews for current products that we are looking to buy, sort of like Amazon reviews and Newegg reviews but not affiliated with a particular vendor.

i dont think they are trying to compete, engadget is promoting this site. (Thats how I found out about it) just read them both so far this site looks great, and engadget has been great for a while.
