Another big week for gadgets around here, and we've finally got some sit-down time with the Zune HD -- and so far the outlook is good. We're also talking about the iPod touch 3rd-gen teardown that proves its missing camera, the Android -based Archos 5 media player, the new would-be Slingbox of video games, Spawn Labs's Spawn HD-720 , Microsoft's Modern Warfare 2 edition Xbox 360 , and the PS3 slim 's 300% sales jump . We've got some laptops in the...

I've been meaning to ask how you guys got Scarlett Johansson to do your Blackberry ads?

I kid, I kid...but this lady sounds just like her!

You know, I don't actually think Archos has officially said it can access the Android Market unfettered. They're brewing their own app store, AppLibs or something, that may have the woes that Archos' old ecosystems had.

Great show. I really appreciate the per-story pictures in the podcast. I am not normally a gadget-head but I am enjoying your show. Keep it up.

Peter is really convincing as to why i should by the MW2 bundle, with how you take down the price from 400 to 340 because it has a game, then 300 because it has a second controller, and then some how you can just leap to saying its really only a 100 bucks since its got the 250gb hard drive.....

Now if only i can convince my wife of all of this value savings i'd get from buying a second xbox360

By my calculations I'll actually be losing money if I DON'T buy one.

We could all wait when project natal comes to fruition and is bundled with the 360. I highly doubt they'll ever bundle a wifi adapter but we can only hope.

Ok, Ryan * great name btw :) * So I haven't listened to this podcast yet, but I've seen you on twit and man I have so much respect for you. Your patience, wit, and ethically attitude is wonderful among many other postitive traits I've see in your brief conversation. To steal this quote from you, if I was riding on a bus for hours I would want you in that seat next to me, because I feel like that would be an awesome conversation. Ok, I'll stop verbally sucking you off here and get up from me knees, but I will say that I see good things coming from you in the future. Best of luck.

The pinching and zooming is pretty dang fast on the HD, I have one. Just Look at the video on engadgets review of the HD. Josh was going on about how fast panning and zooming is on the HD.

Yeah I find zooming to be fast as well. I figured they were testing on gdgt or some really large/script heavy site that was slowing it down.

You are wrong about the itouch having a better screen resolution than the zune HD. The zune HD has more pixels per inch than the itouch has do the math.

Resolution only refers to one thing -- how many total pixels. If you want to talk about PPI, then you're talking about pixel density, which is a completely different metric than resolution

Actually, you are wrong. Resolution includes both pitch and pixel count. Regardless, the OLED screen on the Zune HD is far superior to anything else in its category. The brilliance, clarity and viewing angle far exceed anything Apple has ever produced.

The literal and practical technical definition of resolution is pixel count, that's not really up for debate.

But I think we can all agree Microsoft nailed the screen on the HD, even if it isn't as high resolution as some of us would have liked.
