a major firmware upgrade has been released on the 29th of June. tons of new features have been added to the Cowon S9:
notepad
keyboard
swing motion to skip songs
widgets + multi-screen
m3u support
new movie mode functions:
subtitle sync
pith control
... to name but a few.
note: 2.31b is a beta release, use at your own risk.

Don't forget gapless playback of lossless files. I'm really enjoying that one.
