Hello everyone, I am in search of a reading light for my nook, I got one for $10 at B&N but it's a piece of crap. Does anyone have one in mind that actually lights up the page? I'd like to do some reading while my wife is asleep without doing any permanent damage to my eyes. Thanks in advance.

Check out some lights made by Mighty Bright. I know they have some popular clip-on lights, such as the Mighty Bright XtraFlex2. Here's a link for one on Amazon (it says Kindle version, but I don't see why it wouldn't work with the nook).:

Though all the reading lights in this price range seem like they're going to be of pretty low quality. I'd also be interested in hearing if anyone else has some better suggestions.

I heard that the light that comes with Snuggies is good for thin EReaders.

Just FYI, there have been all kinds of studies that have proven that trying to read in the dark or trying to read things that are really small, etc, has no effect on your eyes (short or long term). That isn't to say it isn't annoying, but it's not bad for your eyes.

Thanks for the info, I'll have to show my wife. What do you all think about the Kandle light? I know it's designed for the Kindle but it looks like it'll do the job.

Looks like the Kandle works on any of the eBook readers of similar thickness with a bezel at the top. I poked around and found this for you. Hope it helps.

Do you use a cover with your Nook? that might make a difference in some recommendations since some of them just slip between the device and the cover.

How about a headlamp? If you find one that is not too bright it'll illuminate exactly what you are looking at.

Yes I do use a cover, I think I'll give the Kandle a try. Thanks for the input.

Hi Jnguyenr24. Did you get the Kindle light?
I'm in the market for a light for my Nook for pretty much the same reasons as you and would welcome any suggestions.
