So how does the nook handle term searches and page indexing for PDFs (1.6)? I don't think the absensce of color will be an issue. The pdf is 90MB and it would be nice to be able to just type in the page and have it show up fairly quickly and then be able to zoom into specific parts.
And if there are other books like the bestiary, would it be too much of a hassle to close one PDF and open another PDF (about the same size)?
Also, does anyone know how the Kindle would fare in the same sitaution?
Cheers.

P.S. I have had some success converting other PDFs to epub format and getting them to work on the nook so I am going to try that with the Pathfinder rulebook when I get home from work.

Hope that helps you.

Like all dedicated ebook readers to date, the nook is pretty much a single purpose tool. What it does, it does well. However, moving beyond ePub formatted content to PDFs is something that it struggles to do. In addition to the previously mentioned problems with images in PDFs, it also doesn't like PDFs with tables, columns, or any highly formatted text (like large multi-level outlines).
