I've recently purchased a Macbook Unibody and my Mighty Mouse (along with my wireless keyboard) randomly disconnect from the computer, I fix the problem disabling and enabling the bluetooth from the icon in the menubar.

With my previous Mac Mini the mouse was working fine...

By the way...the old iMac that exhibited this problem is now in use by my wife with another wireless Mighty Mouse and she has not experienced the problem. That narrows things down pretty well...my Mighty Mouse is almost certainly the source of the problem.

The only time it's disconnected for me is when the batteries died.

Since both keyboard and mouse were disconnected, and your Mighty Mouse worked fine before... I'd look elsewhere for the cause. It may be a defect with your new Macbook. Take it back for exchange if it keeps happening.

BTW I'm envious and wish I could afford to get one of those gorgeous babies. Good Luck!

Before you take it back, make sure you have the latest updates for Bluetooth and the Macbook/OSX in general. I had no problems on a Mac Mini, but many disconnects on my Macbook Pro... until I updated the software, now I don't think it's happened since. Also check the batteries, and look over your Bluetooth and Energy Saving settings in Preferences.

Before the update- the wireless mighty mouse would regularly cut out on my unibody macbook (not pro). Now, after the update, I have found it to cut out at most once a day.

I've always just used the bluetooth menu "disconnect", close the sensor on the bottom, "reconnect" and open the sensor/power.

I also have the wireless keyboard running which has never cut out, so it looks like its either my particular mouse or general problems with the mouse connectivity.

Like you, I have both a wireless keyboard and wireless Mighty Mouse. The mouse disconnects perhaps once a week on my iMac. I have a new iMac (one month) running the latest software with the latest Bluetooth updates.

I also had the same thing happen on the older iMac that I replaced. I have never had the keyboard disconnect, just the mouse.

All the time. went thru 2 that had this problem on a wide range of Macs (MabBook Pro, iMac, Mac Pro). Returned it... I just stick with Logitech and Microsoft Mice now.

I agree. Return it. I've never had good luck with Apple wireless mice. One of the few things from Apple that has truly sucked (I also dislike the new tiny keyboards).

I have the exact same problems. For me it disconnects both the mouse and the keyboard at the same time. I think it's the bluetooth driver crashing. I haven't been able to find a solution yet, been dealing with it for about two months now.

Leopard update 10.5.8 seems to have fixed the problem.

i havnt had an issue with disconnects with my wireless mighty mouse.

the keyboard seems to be more line of sight sensitive than the mouse. and seems to have a weaker signal? when i toss the keyboard and mouse in my drawer the keyboard looses connection to my uni macbook, whereas the mouse dosnt. batteries are fresh and in good shape in both.

version 10.6.1

I was not getting a lot of issues with either the mk.1 keyboard or mighty mouse but since I
purchased a new batch of rechargeables [yes I know it's probably best to use alks]
in may this issues are virtually nil
with the keyboard just as well as that numeric registration had me in hiccup mode
everytime ... but the last couple of weeks or so the mighty mouse just
kisses goodbye with variable success has had me puzzelled ...

on top of this pleased that I have actually got inside to clean that little bugger of a
scroll wheel
