+ 1 for glass cleaner and a cloth. It's glass so I don't see why you would use anything else.

iKlear is an excellent product, a nice little kit can be bought off the apple store...

I use a "Guitar Polish Cloth". It cleans screen and keyboard without any liquid whatsoever. You can buy it at music stores or Amazon for about $3.

I have a 2006 model MBP(gloss screen) and I use 90% isopropyl alcohol splashed on a paper towel to clean my entire MBP. I've used this method roughly once a week since I bought it and everything looks pretty much perfect except for a very small area below the left side of the space bar where some of the paint has rubbed away. Which is not a big issue because there is aluminum under the paint.

I work in a specialist apple retailer and we sell a ton of iKlear products as well as the Monster cleaning kit. To clean all the imacs and macbooks of the store, we use the Monster kit with the included blue cloth and it works great as well. However, when we run out of Monster juice we sometimes use a window cleaning product with foaming action with a regular scott towel (not windex... I would not never use that on my computer... ever) and both solution, the Monster cleaning kit and the window cleaner with foaming action work beautifully. I use them twice a day on 20 different computers / phones / iPods for a whole year and we never ever had a problem.
Nonetheless, I strongly suggest investing 25$ on a cleaning kit like the Monster one or the iKlear, they last forever and are 100% save for your computer/TV/phone

nice cleaning to all!

Considering there is glass in front of the actual LCD, it doesn't really matter what you use to clean it, as it wont consist of static.

I am currently using iKlear Travel Single individually packed wipes. The kit comes with both a soft towel-like cloth and a micro fiber one. It works great. www.iklear.com

Few sprays of Windex right on to a paper towel, wipe. Money.

Monster Screen Cleaner you get in the home theater section of Best Buy. It's the only Monster product I'll endorse.

Just windex and a paper towel. Never had any issues.

Paper towels scratch plastic and even glass (though it may take a while for it to become obvious). Lens cleaning cloth (e.g., microfiber) is FAR safer.

HD Nation, on Revision 3, did a "spot" (pun) on keeping your lcd/plasma TV screen clean. Why not pay the site a visit and learn how to make your own cleaning fluid etc!

This may sound weird, but I always use hand sanitizer to clean all my small electronics. I love how quickly it evaporates and how well it removes all traces of hand grease.
