Topic: IM app with PUSH that supports >1 account on the same IM network/protocol?

Hi, basically I have multiple GTalk (google apps) accounts, if I pay for one of the 2 apps that does PUSH notifications, I need to make sure it can support more than 1 account for gtalk, or at least jabber.

I remember on my Treo IM+ only supported 1 google talk account. I can get 2 working by using gtalk for 1 and Jabber for another, but I need more than 2.

So, can anyone with IM+ or Beejive tell me if the app can do this (and which app you have)? It's unclear from their websites. Thanks!

Beejive works with multiple accounts of the same kind. I have two GTalk accounts active.

Awesome! Thanks so much for the reply! Are you happy with Beejive? I remember reading posts by unhappy users in the "i want my money back" thread on their forum, LOL...

Hey there..
I bought Beejive last week, and at first it seemed to have a few problems.. not connecting, or hanging when it was trying to disconnect.. but so far the past 3 days it's been great.. I really do love it.. And it has a lot of customizing options on it.

The $10 price is a little steep, but if you're online all day, or want to be on IM's all day with push, it's the app for you!

awesome, I'll wait to see if anyone with IM+ chime in and will decide which one to get. Right now I'm leaning toward Beejive.

I'm a happy Beejive customer too. I think the $10 price point is a bit steep ($5 would be perfect) but you're still getting some pretty sick functionality. The push notifications feature really makes the app shine, but it's got an awesome chatting system, buddy management, and a cool Pre-esque contact merge feature, where you can assign the contacts in your phone book different AIM, Facebook, and Gtalk names so everything stays organized.

There are definitely some irritating bugs that I'm sure will get fixed soon enough, but as it stands right now, it's easily the best iPhone chat client I've come across.

Go Beejive. They are working out the kinks and have a bug fix release pending Apples approval. It has a much nicer UI than IM+ (which in my humble opinion is fugly). Push works well and to top it off its icon doesn't make you want to spoon out your own eyeballs everytime you look at it (unlike IM+).

for the price...IM+ works pretty good. Once in a while, it will hang up and not let you log in, but usually you can just reset the phone and then it works. Push also works well and have had no issues with it. I am usually a person that would like to go with the cheapest route possible and as a moderate user of IM, IM+ works great for me!

I think that you NEED an iPhone for this to be worth the cost. If you have an iPod then the price is just not worth it :)

I've had beejive on my phone since November and it's been the best im experience I've had on my phone ever, I've even put it in my dock. The UI is consistent with the rest of the phone, the icon is simple and perfect, it supports a crapload of im protocols and push has never wavered once.

I feel bad for the morons who spent $10 on the app and deleted it from their phones only because it didn't work for the first week.

Also, the startup speed has been vastly improved for the 3.0 version which is awesome (if you're on a 3gs it's lightning)

Be glad it's on sale at the price it is..I bought it at it's $16 price point. Beejive mentioned they'll bring the price back up to $16 when they launched 3.0 but now I'm not sure when.
