...you clearly didn't bother to check out the link...there are free books from Harper-Collins, Cliffs Notes, Whiskey Creek Press...there are sites for free computer and IT relevant books...books in various languages from sites like memoware.com...hmmmmmm, I don't think I saw any sites for comic books, however...too bad, would have been a little something for people who use their iphone to read...

...although the majority are public domain, there are many that have been published within the past decade...also consider that many library books are available as adobe editions and that some nefarious scoundrel has hacked it...now, if you so desire, you can check books out of the library and, with a little effort, keep them forever...
